What’s it all about?

We’re on the hunt for a Senior Software Engineer to join a remote-first team at a leading international software consultancy. This role is all about leading technical improvements, mentoring junior engineers, and solving complex challenges across a diverse range of bespoke systems. What will you be doing?

  • Taking ownership of system improvements, refactoring technical debt, and optimising performance.
  • Leading and mentoring junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing culture.
  • Delivering high-quality solutions using:
    • Back-End: C#.NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, and SQL Server/SQL Azure.
    • Front-End: Vue.js, React, and jQuery.
    • Mobile Development: Xamarin (with exposure to MAUI).
    • Testing and Optimisation: xUnit for automated testing and jMeter for load testing.
  • Collaborating directly with clients to understand their needs and deliver practical solutions.
  • Driving technical improvements and influencing system architecture across the team.

What do you need?

  • Experience: 6+ years of software engineering experience, including leading technical improvements and mentoring others.
  • Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of C#.NET Core, SQL Server, and any modern front-end framework like Vue.jsReact or Angular, etc.
  • Problem-Solving: Expertise in resolving complex technical challenges and optimising performance.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and lead by example.
  • Client Engagement: Confidence in communicating with clients and delivering impactful solutions.
