We have a new team interview for you, and this week we are delighted to welcome Affecto's Office Manager Anna. Welcome to the Team Anna!

Meet Anna

Can you give me a professional overview?

Before joining Affecto I was an Art teacher in secondary schools in London and Yorkshire for 6 years. It’s taught me so much, and I use the skills I developed as a teacher everyday in my current role, most importantly adaptability and flexibility. Pupils taught me a plethora of curse words and slang I now have to hand so I can say I’m down with the kids …at least for a little while.

Why did you join?

I wanted a job that was varied, challenging and had a really fun environment. I knew a bit about the tech industry, and the recruitment world, and it seemed like the perfect fit. As soon as I met Dan and Craig I knew it was meant to be.

What do you do?

A bit of everything! From making sure the team has enough coffee to keep them going, to presenting data, liaising with suppliers and planning events. My day is never the same, and I can never plan too meticulously, because as soon as I do there will be something new in the mix.

Favourite Affecto Moment?

Knowing that the work I do has such a positive impact on the team.

Favourite Recruitment Moment?

Getting to know the amazing people we employ at events and learning what an incredible, and lovely bunch they are. Knowing that what we do really impacts people’s lives and helps them on their next step on their journey.

Favourite Holiday Destination?

Berlin - love the culture, the art and the food!

Favourite Food?

I’m torn between cheese and crackers and a good slice of cake and a cup of tea, even better if it follows a nice walk in the peaks.

Favourite Beverage?

A Negroni any day of the week

What professional advice would you give your younger self?

Throw the career plan out of the window. Believe in yourself. Say it with confidence.
