Sheffield firm ‘could be as big as Amazon’
Sheffield software company WANdisco could be big enough to rival American giant, Amazon, if it continues to score top contracts with global firms.
WANdisco is working with some of the world’s biggest names including IBM and Volvo, as it experiences 175% growth in big data, as companies transfer vast amounts of information from their own servers to the cloud.
WANdisco has signed contracts with The Royal Bank of Canada, the city of Dubai and HMRC.
This success comes after years of losses for the company in which it underwent a re-organisation last year.
Daniel Koseoglu said: “Companies are increasingly moving to the Cloud; they are unable to own their own servers due to the cost and scale of managing their own data.
“This is only set to increase. WANdisco has the potential to become one of the world’s leading technology firms.”
